Responsible Gaming

At Chipz, we understand the great responsibility that comes with being an online casino. It is of utmost importance for us to offer all our players a safe environment, which is why we encourage Responsible Gaming with valuable information and a wide range of tools to help you play responsibly.

A big part of our Responsible Gaming efforts are focused on Account Limits. Utilising one or more of these limits can help you manage your playing and make sure that your time at Chipz remains fun and entertaining. Read on for more information about the limits you can implement at Chipz Casino:

Account Limits

You will find all the following options available in Limits tab under My Account.

  • Time limit: Set a time limit for how long you can play. You will be automatically logged out when this limit is reached.
  • Net loss limit: Set a limit for how big your losses can be over a chosen time period. When this limit is reached, you won’t be able to play anymore at Chipz until the time period you have chosen expires.
  • Deposit limit: Set a limit for how much you can deposit within a certain time period. When you reach this limit, you are unable to make further deposits until the chosen time period expires.
  • Wagering limit: Using this limit, you can control how much you are allowed to wager within a pre-determined time period.
  • Self-Exclusion: Self-exclusion allows you to take a complete break from gambling at Chipz. You will be unable to log in to your account until the self-exclusion period is over.

Limits can be set for daily, weekly, or monthly periods. You can decide to decrease a limit (make it stricter) at any time, which will come into effect immediately. You can also decide to increase a limit (make it less strict), which will come into effect after a ‘cooling-off period’ of 24 hours.

Self Exclusion

Self-Exclusions are some of our strictest controls, available for indefinite and definite timeframes since implementing this measure prevents you from logging in to your Chipz account. Choose either of these options if you need some time away from gambling or if your gambling activity is starting to get out of control.

To activate a definite Self-Exclusion, contact our customer support team via Live-Chat and specify the length of time (1/7/30 days) you would like to take a break from gambling with Chipz or select the preferred time frame through the Self-Exclusion section on the ‘My Account’ page

Note that if you decide to request a definite self-exclusion by contacting our Customer Support, it does not take effect immediately. You will be duly notified by a member of our Support team after it has been applied to your account.

Note that if you wish to decrease your definite self-exclusion period, a minimum ‘cooling off’ period of 24 hours applies before it can be reinstated following a time-out.

If you feel like you need to take a break from gambling for an indefinite period of time, you may request an indefinite Self-Exclusion. You may do so by contacting us via Live-Chat and stating your reasons. You will be self-excluded as soon as our Customer Support Team sees the request, and you will be duly notified. Please understand that if you wish to decrease or revoke an indefinite self-exclusion period, Chipz may, at its discretion, accept or not, and it shall only be effective seven (7) days from the acceptance of the request.

If you feel that you still need more time away from gambling after the chosen period of time has elapsed, you may extend this period by contacting us.

Reality Checks

During your gaming session, periodic Reality Checks will pop up onscreen every 60 minutes, presenting details about your gameplay duration and financial outcomes. These notifications can be customized or disabled entirely within your account settings. Keep track of your gambling activity with ease, whether you wish to monitor your spending, winnings, or simply stay informed about your gaming habits. Adjust the frequency of these Reality Checks or opt out altogether via the My Account section to tailor your gaming experience to your preferences.

Gambling Blocking Software

When it comes to managing your online gambling activities, consider utilizing specialized software such as Betblocker (Free) and Gamban (Subscription). These tools provide effective solutions to block access to gambling sites, offering different functionalities to suit your needs and preferences.

Useful Third-Party Resources

If you are looking for professional help with problem gambling or potential problem gambling, we have gathered some reputable third-party resources below. We do not have any business relationships with these organisations; they are independent organisations helping individuals tackle problems related to gambling.

If you are unsure if you have a gambling-related problem or not, this quiz at Gamblers Anonymous is a good starting point for identifying potential gambling problems.

Tips for Safer Gambling

  • Gambling should only be for entertainment. Do not use gambling to try to earn a regular income.
  • Only gamble with disposable income. If you cannot afford to lose the money you are playing with, you should not be playing.
  • Do chase your losses; this will only compound the problem. If you realise you keep chasing lost money you should log off immediately. This is a big warning sign for problem gambling.
  • Never gamble under the influence. If you have consumed alcohol and/or other substances you should abstain from gambling. Being under the influence might lower your inhibitions and lead to you placing increasingly riskier bets. Log back in when you are not under the influence.
  • Be disciplined with your own gambling limits. Identify your stopping point and make sure to stick to it.
  • If you notice you’re placing increasingly bigger, or more careless, bets, you should log off and reflect on why. Have a look at our many Account Limits to see if they could be of benefit to you. You should also consider seeking additional help if you feel like your gambling is becoming increasingly reckless.

If you have any questions, or you require additional resources, we kindly ask you to contact our Customer Support.
